Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2014] PHENOTYPE: Mice homozygous for a knock-out allele exhibit increased heart weight, increased ventricle size, dilated cardiomyopathy and increased susceptibility to ischemia-induced arrhythmias and mortality.
