Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.[provided by RefSeq, May 2010] PHENOTYPE: On a mixed genetic background, female homozygotes for a targeted null mutation exhibit embryonic lethality, while males are viable, but sterile due to postnatal testicular degeneration.
