Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2013] PHENOTYPE: Homozygous mice display perinatal lethality, respiratory failure, impaired development of the intervertebral disks, vertebrae and calvarial bones, increased skull length, and abnormal curvature of the spine.
