Defects in this gene may result in epilepsy, behavioral problems, or intellectual problems. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2015] PHENOTYPE: Mice homozygous for a targeted mutation display postnatal lethality.
