The encoded protein also interacts with a complex of other cell cycle regulators to repress cell cycle-dependent gene expression in non-dividing cells. PHENOTYPE: Mice homozygous for a knock-out allele show increased body weight. Mice homozygous for a gene-trap allele die shortly after implantation with defects in early embryogenesis.
