MGI Phenotype FUNCTION: This gene encodes a centrosomal protein ubiquitously expressed in proliferating cells and during early embryonic development. Mice lacking the encoded protein die in utero with marked growth retardation, defects in the developing neural fold and randomization of left-right asymmetry.
